People’s queuing behavior, seen in versatile venues such as restaurants or the airport gates, is one type of signature of social events happening in the city. Also it is a new opportunity for providing value-added services including coupons. QueueVadis detects each user’s queuing behavior, using sensors in the user’s carrying smart phone. It estimates the properties of the queue (e.g., waiting time, service time) based on the data from multiple users in the queue.
