In commemorating the 2016 Okawa Prize awarded to Dr. Hideo Aiso (Professor Emeritus, Keio University, and Director and Past President, Tokyo University of Technology) and Dr. John L. Hennessy (President Emeritus, Stanford University, Director, Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program, Stanford University, and Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Stanford University), we will hold a symposium on Thursday, March 2nd, 2017.

The symposium highlights the special commemoration seminars on the ongoing progress and the future vision by both awardees, as well as a panel discussion titled “Evolution of computing and role of research university” mainly addressed to the next-generation of researchers. We welcome you to join us and hope many of you can participate in this commemorating event.

※The Okawa Prize is intended to pay tribute to and make public recognition of persons who have made outstanding contributions to the research,technological development and business in the information and telecommunications fields, internationally.
